Production process
Step 1 - Vacuum Thermoforming:
In this step, the vacuum forming machine is used to shape the hot tubs and swim spa. The mold and the corresponding size of acrylic sheet are placed in the machine. The acrylic sheet is heated and softened in the molding furnace. The mold is thoroughly cleaned during this process. After heating, the acrylic sheet reaches the desired state and is sent over the mold. Vacuum pressure is applied to shape the acrylic sheet into a bathtub shell. After cooling, the acrylic sheet solidifies and separates from the mold, completing the forming process.
Step 2 - Shell Reinforcement:
The formed product's shell is fragile and requires further reinforcement. Firstly, a vinyl ester resin is sprayed on the exterior of the shell. Then, three layers of fiberglass and pure resin are sprayed to enhance the reinforcement effect. Finally, a roller is used to exhaust air and compress these reinforcement layers for a better fit. After reinforcement, the thickness of the hot tub's shell is approximately 8 millimeters, while the swim spa shell is approximately 12 millimeters thick.
Step 3 - Curing in a Thermostat Chamber:
The spa shell after reinforcement is in a moist state to a certain extent. In order to ensure that the reinforcement layer is dry and prevent blisters, it will be placed in a constant temperature box for drying to ensure that the reinforcement layer is completely cured.
Step 4 - Spraying the insulation layer:
After the reinforcement layer is completely dry, spray 25mm high-density insulation foam on its surface to enhance the thermal insulation performance of the hot tub spa.
Step 5 - Mounting brackets and Cutting, polishing
Before installing the hot tub parts, install the stainless steel brackets to provide structural support and enhance the stability of the product, and then cut and smooth the holes of the corresponding parts.
Step 6 - Install parts and wiring:
 Install the parts of the product as well as the water pump, motor, etc., connect the pipes, and connect the power lines of each motor.
Step 7 - First water test:
After installation is completed, the first water injection operation and debugging test are carried out. The hot tub and swim spa are filled with water and run for at least 6 hours to check for water leaks, missing accessories, etc. Ensure that the product operates normally.
Step 8 - Install the skirt:
After the first water test to confirm that there is no abnormality, install the skirt for the product to enhance the aesthetics and improve the structural strength.
Step 9 - Second Water Test:
After installing the skirt, the product is filled with water again and operated for at least 3 hours. A second inspection is conducted to verify that there are no leaks or assembly issues, ensuring all functions of the product are working properly.
Step 10 - Drainage:
After the second water test, in order to prevent water from remaining in the pipes, the hot tub will be put into the 360° turning machine and rotated several times to drain the water in the pipes completely.
Step 11 - Third inspection and cleaning:
QC personnel will check the system settings, lights, motors, etc. for the third time to see if they are operating normally. In addition, to ensure that the product surface is smooth and flawless, QC will inspect the product surface cylinder and mark the defect locations. Professionals will use professional tools to grind and polish it, and remove any dust, dirt, or glass glue residue to ensure that the hot tub and swim spa surfaces are clean and flawless.
Step 12 - Packaging:
To ensure the safe transportation of the product, we adopt the following professional and rigorous packaging process. First, we wrap EPE pearl cotton around the hot tub to provide primary protection. Then, we wrap it with thicker EPE pearl cotton to further enhance its protective performance. Then, we use plastic film to tightly wrap the entire hot tub (except the bottom) and put on a special dust-proof protective bag to ensure that the product is not affected by moisture and other factors during transportation. Finally, an iron bracket is installed at the bottom of the packaged product for customers to unload and transport.
